Disinfecting with Alcohol is Not Ideal
Stethoscopes carry dangerous microorganisms from patient to patient. Infectious organisms have been found on virtually all stethoscopes after just one patient exam, and MRSA was detected on 70% of stethoscopes. However, alcohol is not the ideal disinfectant. Uneven surfaces cause alcohol wipes to be less effective than originally thought. After cleaning with alcohol or bleach, many microorganisms remain.

2. Apply the Nikotab
Next in the System is the Nikotab – the best performing tab on the market. NIKOMED provides a variety of high-performance Nikotabs in different sizes to fit any patient. Designed with Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) substrate, the Nikotab’s revolutionary fishtail tab prevents twisting and turning to deliver first-time tracings. The adhesive allows for easy patient cleanup as the gel remains on the electrode, not the skin. Packaging: packs (100), boxes (500), or cases (5000).

The System concludes with the Nikoclip. It has a wide contact area for superior trace quality, and its flat, wide-bodied design helps prevent twisting.
